Middle School – Grades 6-8

The Middle School Difference

In order to provide support that is truly tailored to the middle school experience, we have been intentional in designing our school day with the unique needs of middle school students in mind. Several key parts of the daily schedule have been carefully structured to not only accommodate these needs, but also to help students grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally during this important stage of development.

NEST   Nurture • Engage Shape Thrive

Our daily homeroom time is intentionally structured with relationship development in mind. Our students spend time with their NEST group each morning discussing a variety of topics ranging from academic to spiritual and everything in between! Our goal is for students to be known and to develop a sense of belonging with their classmates.

ACADEMIC LAB

We have built a dedicated academic lab time into each school day to provide middle school students with focused time to complete classwork and homework. This period also allows students to access extra academic support, helping them stay on track and build strong study habits.

EXPLORATORY CLASSES

At the end of each school day, middle school students participate in exploratory classes that are designed to be high-engagement, low-stress, and lots of fun. These classes give students the chance to try new things, discover interests, and enjoy a well-rounded educational experience tailored to the middle school years. Classes include:

Growing Beyond the Classroom

In addition to a schedule designed with middle schoolers in mind, we also provide a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved and grow outside the classroom. Athletics such as football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track encourage teamwork and school spirit. Students can also serve in meaningful ways through Student Council and our Serve Class, where they help in different roles across campus. Fine arts opportunities such as choir, band, and yearbook allow students to explore their creativity and talents. To round out their middle school experience, students participate in special events like our middle school retreat and the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.; creating memories and building skills that last well beyond the classroom.

MIDDLE SCHOOL CHAPEL SERVICE

Each week, middle school students gather for a chapel service created specifically with them in mind. These services provide an engaging time of worship and teaching that helps students grow in their faith, connect biblical truth to their everyday lives, and experience worship in a way that is meaningful at this stage of their spiritual journey.
